A Note on Factory Audits, Customer Verification & Our Cooperation Process
Recently, we encountered a situation that we believe is worth clarifying publicly.
A person in China claiming to represent a customer from Kuwait contacted us and requested factory information and an on-site factory audit. However, before discussing any specific product requirements, bottle neck specifications, product model, or project details, the person was unable to explain what type of cap the customer actually needed and went directly to requesting our factory information.
As a manufacturer primarily serving international markets, most of our products and related intellectual property are developed for overseas customers and projects rather than the Chinese domestic market. Therefore, when dealing with an unknown third party whose customer background, project and product requirements have not been established, we do not provide complete factory information immediately.
In addition, many trading companies in China approach manufacturers to conduct factory audits or source products on behalf of overseas customers. We already have established cooperation with selected trading companies, and therefore, we currently do not accept cooperation requests from other trading companies seeking to use ou
That said, we want to make one thing very clear:
We welcome genuine factory audits.
We are happy to cooperate with genuine overseas customers, brands and partners who have real projects and need to verify our manufacturing capabilities.
If an overseas customer wishes to appoint a Chinese friend, representative, sourcing company or other third party to conduct a factory audit on their behalf, that is also acceptable. However, we kindly ask that the customer:
- Contact us first and introduce the customer company, project background and product requirements;
- Inform us in advance if a Chinese friend or third party will conduct the audit on their behalf;
- Provide the identity and relationship of the person or company conducting the audit;
- Allow us to verify the relevant information before arranging the factory visit.
We believe this is a reasonable and professional process for both sides.
We would also like to clarify one important point:
Not providing our factory address to an unidentified third party does not mean that our company or factory is not genuine.
For a manufacturer, protecting customer projects, product information, intellectual property and existing business relationships is a normal and necessary part of doing business.
We fully understand that customers need to verify their suppliers. We support reasonable and transparent supplier audits.
At the same time, we expect factory audits to be based on a genuine customer, a genuine project, clear product requirements and transparent communication.
